The Firm
Layne Lauritzen has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1980.
He started his own firm in Austin, Texas in 1985 and began to develop
a concentration in the music industry. Currently, over half of his client
base consists of music and other entertainment-related clients. He is
locally and regionally recognized as having a "niche" in this
area and has developed an expertise in many aspects of the business
issues facing music professionals. He has served on many music industry
seminar panels in the Austin area through such organizations as South
by Southwest (SXSW),Artist
Legal & Accounting Assistance of Austin (ALAA) and the Austin
Music Foundation.

Layne A. Lauritzen, CPA
Lucy Pete - Staff Accountant
Lucy Pete has been an accountant in various industries since 1975. She has been with the firm since 2001 and has found her niche in band accounting. Lucy has worked with artists such as Kevin Fowler, Pat Green, and Jack Ingram. She loves the Texas music scene.
Gus Alonso CPA - Staff Accountant
Gus Alonso graduated from St. Edward’s University with a dual degree in Accounting and Computer Information Science and has been with the firm since December 2005. He’s originally from Brownsville, Texas, but now considers Austin his home. During his free time he enjoys live music, the outdoors, and exploring Texas.
Allison Bing - Staff Accountant
Allison Bing graduated from The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas and has been with the firm since April 2006. She’s originally from Houston but now considers herself an Austinite. She was involved in marching & symphonic band in high school and the UT Symphony Band during college, and has played the flute for over 12 years. She is an avid live music fan and loves taking road trips with her friends just to see a good show.
Evan Blanc - Staff Accountant
Evan Blanc graduated from The University of Texas with a degree in Corporate Communication and a minor in business. After graduating, he and his wife, Erin, spent two years in Houston before getting back to Austin as fast as possible. Prior to joining the firm in August 2007, Evan worked as a booking agent for four years with Sight and Sound Entertainment. He loves going to eat Mexican food, exploring Austin, and listening to music.
Candace Carpenter - Office Manager
Candace Carpenter has been an officer manager in various organizations since 1995, and she’s been with Layne since May of 2006. She has a BA from Texas State University. She’s originally from Mississippi; but she loves all things Texas.
Kim Todd - Assistant Accountant/Intern
Kim Todd is a student at The University of Texas majoring in both accounting and music. She has been working as a part-time intern since May 2007. She is a classically trained harpist and has studied music for 15 years. In her spare time she enjoys live music, the outdoors, and athletics.
